On Thursday Riza, Yuly, and I got up around 4:15 am. We left a little after 5:15 am to catch our 8:00 am flight. We had to get there so early because there is so much security! I think we went through six check-points. Some looking for drugs, others looking for weapons. Also, Yuly's papers had to be checked thoroughly multiple times.
The flight to Miami was 3 1/2 hours. We then had about a 3 hour layover, which went by pretty quickly because we spent time in more lines and had to get lunch. Finally we boarded to head to Tallahassee. When we disembarked, our family was waiting for us! We have a friend who works at the airport and she was able to find a way for our family to meet us at the gate! We had some friends who met us there, too--one with potato chips (although not chicken-flavored!) and another with cupcakes :)
Yuly was so excited to get home. She just kept running from room to room. Even though I know she was tired, she had a hard time settling down. It was fun to see her be so excited.
Today has been a very nice day. Todd took the day off, so we've just unpacked, played, and relaxed. The house still has piles everywhere of things that need to be put away, but I'm not too worried about it. Right now I'm just enjoying being all together.
I'm sure my posts will be less frequent, although I plan to update at least monthly. Thank you for following along on our journey to a family of six. And, thanks especially, to God who called us to this journey and is walking alongside us as we continue this adventure.
