Embassy

This morning we got up early and at 9:00 we headed to the US Embassy. We were not allowed to take in anything electronic (including the Leapsters which have been huge in help whenever we have to wait...). We were there about two hours and the girls did great. We had a few toys and then another family had bubbles. There was a snack bar, so getting something to eat and drink helped, too. While we were there we met a family that adopted two infants. They have been here 9 weeks!! We feel very fortunate that we had such an easy time!

I don't have any pictures of the Embassy because we couldn't take in cameras.

This afternoon we got to meet up with another CHI family adopting 3 kids (1 girl, 2 boys). We went to a park and then to Crepes and Waffles. It was such a great afternoon and it was so nice to get to visit with another adopting family. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.

A note on the hotel. The space is wonderful. A big toy room, outside play areas, and our room is very nice. The bed is very nice and the food has been fantastic. The shower leaves a little to be desired...You know those days that it is a misting rain and you can't decide whether to turn the windshield wipers on or not? That is about the same intensity of the shower--although the water is hot and the door to the bathroom locks (another improvement from the other hotel!). So, everything is very nice.

Tomorrow we go to pick up the visa and then we leave Bogota on Thursday morning. Our flight leaves at 8:00 am which means that we have to be at the airport at 5:00!! Pray that I can get the three of us ready that early!!

Hey there, can you believe you are coming home tmw??? WOW! Also, from the looks of the pic of the play area I can see you are staying at Zuetana???! If so, that is the same Zuetana we stayed at. If you see James (front desk) or Lucrecia (housekeeper) please give them a big hug from us and tell them we are doing great. Our pic is in the book in the lobby or just tell them Joaquin the wild man's family. They were so good to us and helped me thru so many rough days! Okay...well WELCOME HOME TMW!
