Today at work, my friends (who also happen to my co-workers) had a surprise shower for me. It was so special. Their generosity is overwhelming. Especially considering that I am leaving for at least a month and they have to cover the things I usually do. We had a wonderful lunch and lots of dessert (yum!). I am so grateful for a job that I love with co-workers that are truly my friends.
When I got home, another friend and adoptive mom dropped by to help me think through some planning for the trip. She brought a gift for Yuly--a jacket, which was something we still needed for her! Awesome.
While she was here, another friend called and suggested our families meet for dinner. I am excited because I think I need to fill up on "friend time" as I will be missing that while I am gone.
I have been so overwhelmed with the gifts, the help, the prayers, the encouragement, and love that we have been shown through this. We are truly blessed.
