A book review

I just finished reading "The waiting child: how the faith and love of one orphan saved the life of another" by Cindy Champnella.

It is a beautiful story of adoption, of God's timing, of the faith of a child.

It is a compelling story about older child adoption--the challenges and the blessings.

It is a heart-breaking story about the life in orphanages.

It reaffirms my call to older child adoption--yes, I know there will be challenges. Sometimes I wonder if I can handle them. Then God gently reminds me that I don't have to--He, the Perfect Father, will walk along side of me.

It reminds me to pray for my unknown (for now) daughter.

It plants a seed of hope that this might not be our only journey to an older child adoption :)

Hello! I came across your review of this book and had added it to my to-read list. I just finished the book, and like you, was inspired. We're adopting an 11 year old girl and hope God has further adoptions in our future. :) I hope all is well with you and your family!
