Our home study agency case worker called to let us know that Todd's FBI clearance came back today. She said that it is not unusual for two clearances filed at the same time to come a day or two apart, so she was confident that mine would be there soon. Yeah! Thanks for your prayers.
I received an e-mail from CHI about additional information about how dossiers are assigned in Colombia and received encouraging news that the wait for a 6-7 year old is shorter than I was guessing (and yes, I know it can change). Therefore, we are changing our request to the ICBF from 4-7 to 6-7 years old.
We still have a lot of paperwork, red tape, and waiting to do, but it "feels" like we are closer to getting our daughter--especially as it looks like we are getting close to finally having our home study done!!
Please keep praying for our home study to be completed soon and that the I-17H (permission to bring an orphan into the country) will be approved in a timely manner.
