Sock Puppets

The last two nights I have slept with socks on my hands (and my hands completely lathered in lotion). Last night Savanna came in to my room while I was still reading and asked me if I were getting ready to do a puppet show!

But actually, I am trying to get fingerprints. Yesterday I went to Kinkos and made copies of the blank fingerprint form. I am going to send several different print cards into the FBI (per FBI suggestion) this time. I spoke with one of the Deputy Chiefs from the Tallahassee Police Department who goes to our church and he assured me that the department would work with me to get several good sets. My plan is to go Monday. I'll have had four nights of "sock puppets" by then. If there is a really good set, I think I will go ahead and have that set printed twice--and save it for when we have to redo our prints before going to Colombia. As problematic as this has been, I hate thinking about having this much trouble getting clearance once we have received a referral!

So, I am still asking prayer that I will finally get a good set of fingerprints, so we can continue this process. I appreciate all of your prayers to this point. God has really worked in me on my attitude and trust, and I know in each step He is preparing us for our new daughter.
