We made it to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The trip took about 2 1/2 hours each way. The fingerprinting took about 25 minutes. It was a secured building--we couldn't take anything inside except our appointment papers, IDs, and van key. Once again, they had a hard time "capturing my biometrics" (taking my fingerprints). My readings were low (a red "warning" button kept flashing), and the worker admitted that they might be rejected (although she felt like they would not be). She said, if they were, I would just get another pink appointment paper in the mail. Oh joy. At least Todd and I found a great place in Jacksonville to eat and shop. Todd let me eat, but not shop, but if I have to go back, I'll take Mom and try again :-). It seems only fair if I have to make a second trip...

I agree...shopping will help if you have to go back again! Hopefully you will not have to get them done again! All the best!
