A good work

This week I am clinging to the promise that "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6. Ultimately, the good work that Christ is striving to complete in me is to shape me to be like Christ. However, the verse also reminds me that when God begins something, He doesn't quit until it is complete--no matter how long it takes. In the case of shaping me to be like Christ, it is a life-long improvement project. In the case of bringing our daughter home, it will be (hopefully) much quicker than that, but I just have to trust that He started this good work and that He will complete it.

To that end, we have (what we believe is) our final home visit on Tuesday, June 22. We are very excited to be bringing this part of the process to a close. We are still missing a few items (e.g., our FBI approval), but we are trusting all of these pieces will come quickly together so we can apply for our I-600 A.

And so, the good work continues...
