Really, that's what I feel like. Slow motion. I wish we could get something big knocked out--like sending in our dossier (or even completing our home study), but it just feels like we are moving in slow motion. At the same time, I continue to cling to God's promises for perfect timing (Habakuk 2:3). And the wonderful knowledge that His ways are not my ways (Isaiah 55:8).
In the meantime, I've taken up regular exercise again (a life-time challenge for me). I'm reading "The Lost Daughters of China." By the way, the book is really interesting. And the author's description of the waiting process strikes a cord with me. I'm also still working on my Colombian cooking and my Spanish speaking.
And, of course, things around here stay busy. I'm in a Bible study called "When Wallflowers Dance." Savanna went to Study Skills camp (she was thrilled), Audrey is in Colorado on a mission trip (she really is thrilled), and we are preparing for the 15 hour drive to the Midwest to see both sets of grandparents. Ah, the crazy days of summer!!
