First, it surprised me to log on and see that Todd wrote! That is so awesome. I love his insights and perspective. (And I love him, too!). We keep plugging away with our paperwork. I know that everything is in God's hands and we must trust in His timing, but I don't want my lack of vigilance and perseverance to stand in the way of bringing our daughter home as quickly as possible. I'm excited because we are making steady process on our end. Also, our first home study visit is scheduled for next week and I am very excited about that!! We have been working to complete our required Hague training. Going through that has given Todd and me a lot to talk about. I'd like to mention that although I have already read multiple books and articles about adoption, the video series "Because they waited" (the training used by Children's Hope) has taught me a lot. It is awesome and is packed with information.
So, we wait. We keep busy collecting our paperwork and educating ourselves on this process. And we pray for our daughter who is somewhere out there...

todd and kimberly,
i have so enjoyed reading your posts. you both continue to amaze me!
I don't know if Robin ever shared with you that I am adopted. My brother and I were both adopted, I was 3 months old and he was 8 days old. Very different circumstances, it's true, but being adopted has given me a better understanding of God's adoption, being a joint heir. I always tell people that I was adopted TWICE. Congratulations, and God Bless you all for the decision you have made to add to your family through adoption.
